Bṛhadaraṇyaka-bhaṣyam 2.1.19 onward
with Swami Viditatmananda
This chapter of the Bṛhadāraṇyaka Upaniṣad reveals the nondual vision of the Upaniṣads by teaching the reality of what is generally taken to be real, satyasya satyam. In these classes on Ādi Śaṅkarācārya’s commentary for this chapter, Swami Viditatmananda will unfold that reality as the self. Understanding this without any doubt or vagueness, one is freed from the limitations of the subject-object duality. Presented in the form of teacher-student dialogues, the Upaniṣad also shows the method by which this is taught, and what is expected of the student in order to receive this knowledge. Swamiji begins with an extensive review of verses 2.1.1-2.1.18.
